No one listens to me when I tell them about how incredible this series is. It's an absolute masterwork and it's such a slap in the face when people keep telling me "it's not my thing". Like… what. 🙁
I love Boris, his character development and reluctant friendship with Valery. The way in episode 2 he came to terms with his fate by inspiring the three workers to go down and open the gate. Wonderful. I love all the characters! I read about the real Luydmilla's story today and just cried for what felt like ages. They got it so true to real life and it was absolutely the most raw thing I've ever seen on a screen.
The episodes leave me thinking about them for a very long time after I've stopped watching.
Also the makeup jobs have been amazing. Those poor technicians and firefighters…
Now they should extend it a bit and do a S.T.AL.K.E.R. series
